It's actually Fox Mountain. I have the 235RLS. Had it for 3 seasons. It's been great so far. Only had a couple small issues at 1st. Both were minor.
Hard to beat Northwood MFG customer service. I had a water pump quite working. Called NW and they sent me a new one to install my self. I was even on the phone with them as they worked me thru some trouble shooting. Nice thing about NW is they're very owner friendly. You may not get thru on the 1st call but they will call you back. Plus you can email their techs and they respond fairly quickly.
From my observations having walked thru plenty of RVs at RV shows. It really hard to find any other trailers in the same price range that are built as solid. Yes most SOB will have more bling, but where NW excels is in the little things. Like Fantastic fans in the bath and bedroom. LED lighting. Larger than most holding tanks, house built frame. Just look at how they make their drawers for instance. The backer wood that holds the drawer front on is 5/8" thick as opposed to 3/8" used by most. Of the brands the OP mentioned the only other MFG that uses a thicker wood there is Jayco.
Is Northwood perfect? No. My dark brown cap has started to fade. It will cost me about $850.00 to get it painted. It's not right that the cap's fading, but there are many other brands with fading caps too. That doesn't make it any easier to swallow the $850.00 paint job, but at least when it's done I will have a better cap finish on a more solid foundation.
One other reason I bought the NW Fox was that it's made in Oregon and if I do have some major issue and needed to take it back to the factory would be an easy solution.
I will say though that NW quality has dipped lately. Not necessarily the foundation quality but the little things. I would say they're on par with the rest of the RV world. And this is from their top line Silver Fox line down to their Nash line.
We always go to local RV shows and wander thru them all. But we usually keep coming back to either Northwood or Outdoor (sister co) because of what they offer.
