The RV industry has so much to learn here. How hard would it to be to provide the dealers with a list of planned changes for each model? It would then be very easy to compare a current model with the upcoming model year. For instance we purchased a 2015 Starcraft last May. We looked at the 2014 model on the lot, but decided to order a 2015 model as we wanted one with more options. The problem is we ordered the trailer based upon the standard equipment listed and the optional items listed in the deluxe package for the 2014 model. When we picked up the trailer, and on inspecting over the next few days, we found a bunch of things that had been deleted. I figure it would cost about $1500.00 to add those things. No Fantastic fan, no Easy Flex suspension dampeners, no Flip foot on the jack, etc... Now none of these are a big deal, nor are they things you necessarily notice when picking up the trailer (did notice the Flip foot, but didn't care about that anyway). It turns out I should have purchased the 2014 model, it would have been missing some of the luxury options, but it would have had more of the more significant upgrades. It would have cost several thousand less too. If only the dealer had a list, they would have moved their almost 1 year old stock off the lot too!
