When you look at pictures, the table and chairs all fit in the slide and would need to to open and close it. They should all be level. That said, if you moce a chair or two, an inch isn't much to make it unsafe. The heat should be fine coming up on all sides of the sleep sofa. As for the pass through, when you look online, all trailers for sale, 2015 models, have a small door next to the water heater so it is weird that yours does not. Use your fire poker to push things in and pull things out. I guess my question would be can you get to the water heater bypass.
