Keystone Vantage discontinued

We have been looking at light weight TT's for a while, and were really interested in the Vantage19. The one main thing that turned me off was the rubber roof. It now appears that Keystone has dropped the line. I heard rumors that it was because the dealers couldn't get behind the Vantage, and were not ordering many. Having seen some of the roof problems that have been posted, I'm more inclined to think construction problems more of the reason, than lack of sales. Pretty sad for a product that was best new TT in 2011. I have seen the Vantage marked down 45% by some dealers, but still not worth it for us to take a chance on. I have sent Keystone an Email, asking about the Vantage, but have recieved no reply. They had no problem Emailing me when I was interested in the Vantage. Anyway, this all is mute now because we have decided on a Lance 1685 loaded, with the 4 season package, solar, etc. Quite a bit more money, but I think the Lance is worth it.
Even though we have decided on the Lance, I'm interested if anyone has any more info., on why the Vantage has been discontinued.

For what it's worth, here is a 2013 model:

I agree, a very nicely appointed interior!

too bad they couldn't afford a decent camera man.

  • Image of a Vantage roof problem, from the Keystone forums. Pretty ugly for a new TT. The owner says the dealer told them that the tape Keystone is using is wrong for the application, and they don't know how to repair it. I sure hope other owners are not having this problem.

  • Excellent choice in the Lance (w/ solar!) I predict many happy times and camping trips in your new Lance!

I'm not familiar w/ the Vantage.

It's probably like the Jayco "Skylark" - a well constructed trailer that just didn't fly with the public.
