You can make $75-100k straight out of high school if you are willing to work two weeks on/one week off, bustin' ass work out in the middle of nowhere, twelve hour shifts, and the threat of being laid off every few years when the market goes bust.
And boy do slightly used toys get real cheap when oil prices collapse. Everything from four wheelers to bro-dozer diesel trucks are for sale everywhere, and stupid cheap. It will happen again, and banks will be choking on $50K one ton diesels, and other needless trinkets.
