You can make $75-100k straight out of high school if you are willing to work two weeks on/one week off, bustin' ass work out in the middle of nowhere, twelve hour shifts, and the threat of being laid off every few years when the market goes bust.
Oilfield is paying better then when I worked derricks
$.85/hr flipping burgers OR $6.36/hr working derrick
Wasn't too tough of a decision.
Rent was $65/month and paid cash for my 1968 Charger and my 1966 Triumph
Lots of 'hot rodded' cars, trucks back in those days too
