Kind Of Cool

I found this leaving work yesterday evening and thought I would share.
This is in the large courtyard area in the center of the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston between a sidewalk and the south pond. How it got there and why is unknown to me. There are no drives to this area so they must have towed it via a sidewalk. I'm not even sure if this is an Airstream.

That is building 1 in the background

    Tankgod, your still alive :)
Tell MrsTankgod to come back and chat awhile. That's some woman you have there.

Yea, I'm sure I'll find out what's going on today. I found it quite unusual to see that where it was. It's not the splashdown transport unit (stu). That one had lot's of windows and it was clearly an Airstream. They had the STU parked outside B37 for years but it is now gone.
  • My wife's cousin works at NASA. I might ask him if he knows what it's there for.
  • Years ago I saw one with the name Spud painted on it, It was named that because the owner thought it looked like a potato wrapped in foil. It was at a
National Forest in Illnois. I wonder if it was the same one with the name changed a little.
