  • Thank you all for the info. Hubby is 6'9". We replaced the RV queen in our current camper with a residential queen and it works but could be better. Just thinking ahead to upgrade in a few years. I did look at and really like the Open Range line, but alas a bit pricy.

Open Range also has a TT with king bed (full size king) but it is only available in a rear bedroom model. I thought I'd have to have a king (that's what we use at home) but we have been very comfortable in our full size queen and we have a rear living TT. Open Range are really nice trailers but you have to pay for them (more than a lot of 5ers).

    Not actually.
The Open Range Journeyer series has a king size bed of 72" x 80". A true residential king size is 76" x 80".
We were seriously contending for a 2014 model until we saw that the entertainment center (w/TV) was mounted on an angle in one of the slide outs. Also the rear bedroom models have a dry hitch weight of OVER 1400 POUNDS. That's one heavy hitch...
Instead we purchased a 2014 Cougar High Country 321RES 3- slide trailer with a residential queen size bed and rear TV (pop up).
A lot less money and less weight!!!
    Look here:Cougar High Country
  • The Puma mentioned above has a King size that's only 74" x 74".
A residential King Size Mattress is 76 inches wide by 80 inches tall.
I don't know of any trailers that have a regular walk around king size bed.
Most trailer manufactures use " RV mattress sizes not residential mattress sizes.
    Be Careful............

    happy trails,
ps, took me a while to find out our 2014 Cougar High Country 321RES has a residential queen size mattress ( 60" wide by 80" tall)

  • Believe it or not TrailManor's hybrids have huge beds but they are not walk around.
  • Just by doing a google search, I came up with these.

    Puma

    Sprinter 300 KBS

I actually found that most all manufacturers had at least ONE model that had a king bed in it.

Just google: "travel trailer king bed" and it will bring up a good size list.
  • I would think that you'd have to go to a 5th wheel or Class A to get a walk around king size bed.
