The Ram also had higher top speeds up the steepest grades, handled the heavy loads with more control, and kept the drivers more comfortable and less stressed. With all that said, we finally say congratulations to the 2013 Ram 3500 HD, our winner and last beast standing in this bloody two-truck battle.Still do not get the whole 450/3500 test thing, but with the 2500 Ram beating the F-350 ( in the Canadian Truck King Challenge ) and the 3500 Ram beating the F-450 I would say that should speak volumes as to the commitment Ram and Fiat has to making these trucks Best in Class. Hey, again, not that big of a deal to me to see who "get's to the top of the hill fastest", BUT, it sure was nice to see that the Ram won in this and several other test.I still say this is the best looking truck, inside and out. It's one tough, towing animal, considering it's only a "6 banger" :B.......glad those that did the test were impressed with the Ram AND the Aisin.. I liked that they also alluded to the comfort of the Ram, (hey, my wife could have told you that:))Great to see this

Just remember '14 models are on the lot's now, and Ford announced their '15 models at the Texas State Fair will be out early next year so it won't be long for the Ford '15 models to be on dealers lots.

The Texas State fair is the biggest truck advertising opportunity in the states (and probably the world). This advertising is no different than when Fred Diaz was reporting the '13 RAM's in Sept '12 was going to be class leading.

GM DID release their numbers. They quickly retracted them because Ford wouldn't as they originally said they would.
GMs 1/2 tons suffered a lot, and GM was unwilling to have lower published numbers than Fords due to the loss in sales that would likely result from that.
Do a search and you can find them as they were posted on some forums.
The HDs did very well.

As for the dodge video... That was a Dodge commercial, as has already been discussed.

I really like the red print:).......So Ford has done THEIR own commercial and they got to crow, then, Ram did their own commercial, and they get their chance to crow and now all we're waiting for is Chevy/GM's own commercial so they can crow again and be #1.

Really, you got to love all these test...only reason Ram guy's get a kick out of them now is because we alway's ended up in last place between the big three....Ford had their air time and sell the most trucks and let's us know it...Chevy/GM has won and won and won, though they're not as obnoxious about it as the Ford owners, NOW, the lowly Ram owner get's a chance to do some boasting and bragging and we have to hear ALL the negative "spin" on it....Heck, sounds fair to me:)..............Wouldn't figure it would be any other way.

I didn't even say that GM would win in a different test. All I said was that I didn't believe that GM would trail all that badly in a unbiased test. In my mind the jury is still out.

The only thing I said about your post was the fact you had to focus on "Ram did their own test".....

Just thought it was funny that Ram was "jaded" because they went 13' versus 13' and the Ford crowd yelled "foul", but when they took a "theorhetical" 2015 Ford F350 and ran it against a 2013...that was ok with the Ford crowd, though it was a Ford produced video with the Ford guy Mike even coming onto the forum, though a short visit, to justify what was done.

again, only thing I touch on with your post was the fact that you had to make sure we all knew that Ram, "conducted their own test"..so did Ford..and Chevy has had their share of commercials too....nothing wrong with it, but you have to admit, running a 2015 truck that isn't even in production against a 2013 truck is a bit...well....odd, wouldn't you say.

nothing wrong with your post and I agree with you on your assessment if Chevy were in the tes, Hey I owned Chevy trucks from 1975 up to mid 2010, I like them a lot....so you won't hear me knocking on your truck:)

Not 100% sure, but I think on the Ford F-350 (dually) one cannot get the 4:10 rear axle.

Mine is 3:73. Think if one goes the F450 then it is the 4:30.

Now 3:73 versus 3:73 on all three brands would actually make sense, as it is a common ratio for the three.

And since it is common sense, it will probably never happen.

I think we all know what that result would be.

And, on the comments about the "2015" Superduty - I have to wonder how that is going to effect sales of the 2014 model? That and you have got to know that in the corporate world, RAM and Ford would have been given advance notice of the results before they were posted on the PUTc website. It's professional courtesy. Then, Ford quickly does up a comparo between a 2013 Ram 3500 and a "pre-production" 2015 F350 and releases it on YouTube. It's smart advertising & good damage control.

2000 Superduty CC/SB 4x4 V10
2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins
2003 Chev CC/SB 4x4 Duramax
2007 Superduty CC/SB 6.0L Powerstroke

Best engine for reliability was the V10 hands down

Dodge used to have the absolute worst cab and truck save the engine bar none

But frankly the Dodge/Ram/Fiat products are the best on the road. We own a 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland right now and it is just awesome on the detail on the interior and power (5.7 Hemi)

Now that they have mated the new trans to the cummins and worked out the mid range power issues it appears that the Dodge has reasonable speed with the low end grunt as your pulling a hill

I loved my 2000 Superduty, I loved the interior of my 2007 (hated the engine)

But Ram just has a far nicer cab with amenities right now and Frankly a better frame, rear end set up and now reasonable performance

For those of you mentioning the 2015 Ford, yea, I get it, but I want to buy a truck now so it is paid off in 3 years when I retire. I am sure Ram and Chevy will have better performing trucks in 2015 etc, but at some point, you got to bite the bullet

Couldn't agree more than Ram has stepped up their game by leaps & bounds when it comes to the details (interior comfort, ergonomics, fit+finish, etc.). I think it's finally hard to deny that when it comes to HD pickups, Ford/Ram/GM, it's win/win/win. They are all beautifully executed and absolute animals when it comes to performance.
