I won't be there this year as my bro sold his competition buggy. He won the very first KOH. We were there for the first handful of events and watched him do pretty well over the years.

If you can go, it is a very cool event. Sometimes even cold. Always windy with an atmosphere full of white alkali dust. There are maybe hundreds of truck campers there as they make a good tow vehicle with living quarters. They say that Johnson Valley as an off-road recreational destination may be on the cut list as the USMC wants their adjacent land back for training. With the downsizing of the US defenses, they may not need it for training. We'll see.
