KZ Sportsmen 19BHU

Long story short, My deal with the Starcraft fell through when the dealer tried to jack my payments up $30 a month. I'm now looking at a new KZ Sportsmen 19BHU. I like the looks and general quality, but it has a couple drawbacks. The first is no bathroom sink which shouldn't be an issue. My bigger concern is instead of a queen bed, it has the U-shaped dinette in front that turns into a bed. For those of you with this setup,do you get used to it, or is it in pain to do it daily? It seems that in my price range,I can't find a tt with a queen bed, couch, and dinette unless I get into a larger unit. That's why I really like the AR-One 21FB. It had it all.

  • If it does not have a dedicated bed............then it is not for me!
You will find a convert-a-bed to be a hassle after awhile!
  • Our bed is a convert from the dinette. I told myself in the beginning that it was no big deal. Well, it is for us! We leave it as a bed and eat outside now.

Our next trailer will not need any converts to sleep the four of us. It will also have a slide so we can walk around past each other.
  • I would go with the dealer you trust. For me, that would be the 2nd one.

  • Have a new twist to the ongoing saga. The owner of the dealer where I had issues about the Starcraft personally called me and discussed the situation and appologized for the miss- communication. He then proceeds to offer me a little bit more off. My dilemma is this; Do I take the deal which nobody else has come close to matching even though I still don't totally trust the dealership? Or do I stick to my principals and continue working with another dealer that has been straight and honest with me to this point? Their trailer is smaller, more money, and has fewer upgrades. In the old days I would have just went with the best deal, but it's not just about the money. I could use some guidance!
  • Make sure it doesn't have the mickey mouse setup for filling the fresh water tank. The KZ trailer we looked at had a bunch of valves you would turn to allow you to siphon water into the tank rather than fill it with a hose.
  • It's a new 2012. They have a 2013 Sportsmen 19BH which is the exact same setup except for the price. It confused me for a bit. I'm guessing the U designates the U-shaped dinette, but I'm not sure why the 2013 doesn't have the U. 2edgesword, Is the bed fairly comfortable or do you throw an air mattress on it?
  • For the life of me I can't find a floor plan for a K-Z Sportsmen 19BHU. What year is it?
  • Not a major hassel. Move a few cushions and the table support poles and your good to go. I had good luck with my kz spree escape. Enjoy
