Lake Livingston State Park in TX ?

We stayed there about 3 weeks ago and loved it. We had a premier site right on the water, and although the site was asphalt it was somewhat cracked and not that level. When we got there, we decided to back into a space across from the lake sites so that we had a view out the front window. Great price, $24 a night. We did not use the showers/toilets. Most people had campfires going in the fire ring. Great place for families. No beach on the lake, but fishing from the bank. Some of the back in sites across from the water have views of the lake between the rvs across the road. Nice wide sites.

I grew up and live in Lufkin. From talking to others more experienced than myself around here, it can be busy but it's a beautiful lake with good sites. Apparently some can be somewhat close together but considering the dates you want to go I'm betting it would be dang near empty.

I've never camped there myself but I've been there on day use trips before.
