The pods mount to the rear of the camper under the edge. Main function is to provide tail lights at the rear edge of the camper. But they also inlucde a little bit of storage. Easy to bolt install/remove them.
The TC whill have a small 4-prong trailer connector on each side so wiring is already there. The mounting holes are also provided along with the proper bracket for installing the tie-down point 18" forward.
A N-S bed 815 would be ideal for a short bed truck with the center of gravity just behind the axle. With my E-W bed, the COG is about 6" in front of the axle on my long bed truck. Wet and loaded (though I'm a light packer) I'm under 2,400#.
The overhand would only be 18" behind the rear bumper. Mine is flush.
