More power to you for taking on such a big job. As a fellow Lance owner I love seeing what one looks like with the skin off. It also scares the $%^& out of me thinking about what I might find if I really started digging around. Since you are not trying to build to a price point like the factory you have the opportunity to do the little detail stuff like using stainless steel fasterners, gluing all the joints etc. A great tool for really tightening up butt joints is a Kreg pocket jig. That and some exterior contruction adhesive and your structure will as stiff as welded aluminum. I'm game to tear into almost anything as long as I have a fair idea how it went together in the first place. Keep up the photos and the great descriptions. Good luck.
