Was $48 and $57 higher having one made using the same quality of carpet at 2 of the carpet stores we got a quote from and they wouldn't guarantee a tight fit in the corners etc as they didn't have any floor pattern to work with.
The close to the same color carpet itself was cheaper but both said they needed the TC left there a couple days so they could cut to fit the carpet as close as possible and then take it inside and bind on the edging all around.
Needed a new carpet because one of our grandkids spilled a glass of red cherry Crystal Light drink on our beige TC carpet and didn't tell us and we didn't see it in the dim light we had on as it went down the wall onto the carpet under the frige area next to the throw rug DW has to catch spills accidental so it laid there and somewhat dried and stained the carpet bad. An approx 10" red stain on biege carpet sure doesn't look real great!
Tried eveything to remove the stain without success and it looked terrible. Even took a scrap piece of kind of close to the same color carpet I had from our home and poured some of the same Crystal Light on it, let is set a couple hours and tried to get the stain out. No success at all until I mixed some bleach and water as a last resort. Yup, removed the stain but also left the area much lighter than the rest of the scrap piece so that was a no go.
So I called Lance in California and they said "no problem" gave me the price and shipping costs and I said "GO". Lance made us a new removable carpet the same color using their pattern and shipped it by truck to Michigan. Did take 3 weeks total before we had it but it fit perfect just like the stained original carpet. Problem solved and was cheaper including the shipping costs and didn't have to leave our TC anywhere or leave the home to get it. The phone call to Lance was free also and no time spent screwing around or chasing further. By far, the best way to go!
