Lance fold down step repair
looking for easy best way to re attach what looks to be rivets or weld spots on fold down step platform. Not sure what Lance used here. Its a little loose. Has small holes on top and bottom of platform.

- Simple pop rivets. I replaced ours, if doing both sides dont do as I did and drill them all out to replace-do only one side at a time-
I pulled the plates to clean up, not really needed but they would not set back flush due to corrosion/rust. If only replacing a few-just clamp & rivet. - Just match the material, if you are joining aluminum, use aluminum pop-rivets. Don't use steel pop rivets with aluminum, they'll rust fast and cause the same problem. They also come in different sizes, 1/8" diameter is the most common, but 3/16" is available too, just much harder to pull the shank to set the rivet.
Just draw the two parts together as tight as you can, insert the rivet, and use a good rivet tool. - Thanks for replies.
