Telling a salesman that you're not going dicker or play games is not treating them as subhuman, it's putting them on notice that you're a straight numbers kind of person and that doing the typical runaround and dog and pony show isn't going to work on you. A good salesman will take that under advisement and just take the 30-45 minutes to complete the deal and take their commission. I've had a couple of good salesmen and women over the years that have gotten right to the point and not messed with me and made their money quickly, some I've bought from repeatedly (my dad bought 8 cars from one guy because he could call him, tell him what he wanted and what he was willing to pay and get in and out in under an hour) and others that have so turned me off that I've turned around mid sentence and walked out on (worst was when I called to confirm a car was available, drove an hour to the dealership, was told it was sold the previous day and then they tried to sell me an inferior model with more miles for 25% more, guy told me I'd not be able to find what I was looking for even though they sold one the previous day and there were 3 more in the metroplex)
