The mpg difference between a 3.73 and 4.10 gears is negligible with a load such as a TC because while you are running less RPMs, the engine is straining more. Some say the mpg is actually better with 4.10 because the engine is more in the sweet spot for the required loading.
You may think you don't need the higher gearing with the TC, but the TC puts a lot of wind load on the truck. I've pulled a 35' FW and carried a TC on the same truck. It was surprising how close they were on required boost when on level road once I got them rolling. It was only on the hills and going that I noticed a difference of the weight.
You will get much better mpg by slowing down 5mph than changing tires. The slow down doesn't cost money and comes with the added benefit of being safer.
