I am wondering if this could be true. I ordered my dually with the 4.10 rear axle for more power pulling the heavy 5th wheel. At 70 mph I'm over 2000rpm. Now that I'm getting a TC I don't need that mu...

That mileage should be the norm.
But in my case I need a new engine with just over 100,000 on the odometer. I faithfully maintained it, but it is not living up top the Cummins mystique (not because of anything inherent, but moreover due to dealer screw-up that they refused to take responsibility for)
