Unusual for a manufacturer or retailer to actually post a BTU rating for an electric heater when the vast majority of so-called "1500 watt" electric heaters are anything but. :M I've got several and only one is even remotely close to drawing a full 1500 watts, our favorite (which is also supremely quiet) draws just 900 watts on high - I know because I've measured it with my Kill-a-Watt energy meter. It would be interesting if you too could measure the actual draw of this particular heater to confirm it actually does meet it's rated draw and therefore it's rated heat output. If so, no wonder it worked well for you.
