Every Duramax since has been more expensive, more complex, and gotten worse fuel mileage. Engine technology really hasn't improved. Government EPA regulations have progressed and required more hardware. I don't call that progress. I'll take an LBZ over a new one any day.

You need to do some research an LBZ, even an LMM all shared the same brakes, frame and body since 2001. If you think decade old technology is the "gold standard" I feel sorry for you.
So what is the gold standard then if not the LBZ? :h
