Ya I don't agree with the lbz "gold standard" bit. The newer trucks are far quieter with far less stink and way more hp tq. Lbz still had issue with transfer case rub failure in the 4x model and leaking trans lines on all the Allison's. Any diesel is expensive to have work done. Most of the failing trucks of any brand are tuned. Just sayin. Nothing is that mythical that you can jack the price and expect majic. Check the lbz forum on diesel place and you'll see failures like the other engine codes. Prices of winter diesel are slowing truck sales.
