LBZ Duramax Sought After?????

I'm always reading on these forums how everyone wants a clean LBZ but have had mine listed for a week on Craigslist and a couple other sites at KBB mid-private party value and can't even get an inquiry. I'm thinking maybe because they are getting too old for banks to finance? Anyone tried to finance an 06 truck?? Any luck??

I really don't want to trade it in but am about to.

Every Duramax since has been more expensive, more complex, and gotten worse fuel mileage. Engine technology really hasn't improved. Government EPA regulations have progressed and required more hardware. I don't call that progress. I'll take an LBZ over a new one any day.
My math says an '06 is only 8 years old anyway.

Lets see in 06 they got a 6 speed Allison(do new trucks have more) and a good tune, did not have the injector or over heating issue of the 13 year old technology???????

  • One reason for no replies might be because it's a short bed truck. Don't know about in your area but short bed 250/2500HD's and 350/3500HD's don't sell well in many areas of the country and it may just be a regional thing. Where we live they'll sit on lots for a very long time but that may not be the case out west where you are. Short beds however do sell OK in 150's and 1500's ext cab or CC's though.
  • The demand for the LBZ is nuts. I've had two guys offer me more then I paid for my LBZ. Both times in Fleet Farm parking lots. CRAZY
  • A week isn't long to have a vehicle listed for sale. I have had everything from motorcycles to ATVs to trucks listed on CL. It took anywhere from 10 days to 90 days but everything has always sold.
If you are patient, you get a bite and probably close to what you are asking.
  • That's strange... I've read here if you think twice you'll miss the sale being its a Gold Standard. :R

Good luck... Patience is a virtue! :W

How many miles and what are you asking for it? What options package does it have?
