If you're going LED, don't waste your time and money on anything other than truly sealed lenses:

Due to the sealed nature of this lamp, corrosion will never be a cause for replacing lamps or bulbs again!
This model lamp, due to its design, provides excellent forward and rearward visibility. This photo shows the lamp when viewed from the front. Three forward and rearward facing LEDs, which are mounted on the circuit board at a 45 degree angle, as well as the design of the lens housing provide this increased illumination when viewed from an angle.
