Neither has an especially large footprint and will sink into a soft ground surface if you don't also use something solid underneath. Either will also easily slip out of position if sitting on a slick surface such as tarmac though Andersen does offer a slip pad to help avoid this. Although rated for the heaviest of rigs there have been some Andersen owners reporting breakage anyway. I personally also wouldn't be comfortable using the Andersen on any site that slopes significantly fore or aft. JMO but after trying just about every method out there I still think parking both low side tires on wood or plastic leveling blocks is the best solution overall.

I have a set of the red colored Anderson leveler/chalks. Easy to use and they work great. MY 5th wheel weighs about 14,000, and I have seen no problems with the Anderson model.

I also use Andersen leveler on my 30 travel trailer. But SoundGuy is correct as far as them sinking in soft earth, but then again, so will any blocks to an extent. Another issue that SoundGuy mentions is that they can slip out from under the wheels under certain conditions when backing or driving onto the levelers. I have just ordered some self-adhesive rubber safety matsto attach to the Anderson levelers and hope that will solve the issue of slippage.

I made mine out of yellow pine. If on soft ground, they go on pieces of 1/2” plywood. Had them skitter on smooth asphalt once and just put the plywood down and it went right up. What I like most is the ability to fine tune the levelness which is more difficult with legos. Been there, done that and ain’t going back.

I have the anderson's they work great I have never had them slip out.

I just bought the Camco ones. Haven't used them yet, so can't comment on that. But they do come with a rubber surface on the top of the smaller piece that ends up pinched between the two pieces when in use. They shouldn't slip apart for sure. I'm not convinced I need to put a non-slip mat under them. We'll see.

I’m using the Andersons, only a couple trips so far, on asphalt then gravel surfaces, no dirt yet. Only issue I’ve had is the leading tire chock got stuck in between the two tires when leaving, had to gently pry it out. As suggested by the instructions I need to trim about an inch off the tips for clearance. It was a bit tight getting it in place so there you go.

I'm thinking Ryan Andersen has to change his name as virtually no one has got it right yet, not even those who own his product! :W

I have been using Andersen levelers for about 1 1/2 years. Have never had them slip. Makes leveling the trailer much easier.

I carry two 1x6 and one 2x6 boards. Works for me, always has.
