My "BAL" scissor jacks are rated for #5000 EACH... My entire trailer only weighs #5000...

I too use my jacks to level when I'm less than a full bubble off on one side. It's only a couple of extra cranks on the jack... Hardly enough to bend or twist or crack anything IMO...
If I'm more than a full bubble off level, I'll simply drive the low side tires on the 2x8 boards I have. Works perfect for my setup.
In the 10 years I've done this, my doors still open, my frame is still straight, my fiberglass panels are crack free and the jacks have not twisted..
I've lifted the rear jacks so the tires have come off the ground.. Long enough to put a board under the tire because I unhooked too soon... ;) I checked to see if the door would open and it was fine. No binding at all.
Again, it's another one of those deals where "it works for me" and I'm not saying you can do this with every jack and every trailer out there, but in my case and Nvr2load's case, it seems we can... :)
If and when my trailer implodes on itself because of this, I'll be the first to post up the pics! :) :)
