After years of camping with a tent, then a pup, we bought a KZ Sportsmen Classic 170 because it had a queen size bed up front. We wanted a BED, not a couch we felt compelled to make a couch during the day, then a bed at night. I was tired of packing/unpacking, everything doing double duty----was really ready for a tiny little home I could throw some groceries in and go. Looked at some 20-30 footers then scaled back to what we NEEDED.
This "little" 19' trailer is the basic bed, dinette/kitchen with an indoor outhouse. It doesn't even have a slide (what???) We LOVE it. We spend our camping time OUTSIDE. The trailer gives us a place to sleep and storage for the odds & ends. The frig and microwave are nice, but we mostly cook outside.
Would a couch be nice for those crappy days? Yes, we watch tv sitting at the table, or on the bed. Not very comfortable, so on days like that we tend to fire up the internet----find somewhere to go.
The little home away from home, does not need to be a home away from home. If I ever hit the lottery and go full time---home would probably be a 40+ 5er, but in the mean time it just needs to provide us with our things in the comfort of our place for vacation travels.
Couples who NEED all that space, for the occassional weekend/week amaze me----you must really not like your spouse.
