I read somewhere that hail impact can cause fiberglass to delaminate. I'm not sure if that's true. A few years ago our aluminum trailer got into a hail storm and it looked like somebody spent hours going over it with a ball peen hammer. The reason I'm telling this is to make the point of getting comprehensive insurance on the TT no matter what the siding. It's not very expensive and things like hail are covered by it even if it's not attached to the TV. Between what the insurance paid and what the dealer gave me on trade for the damaged trailer, I ended up with a couple of thousand more than I paid for the two-year old TT. Definitely go with the siding you like best, but ask your insurance company about comprehensive insurance.
