Lil Snoozy

We are looking to purchase a small travel trailer for our annual MIL/MOM visit each year. After selling the HR Vacationer a few years back we have decided we hate hotels. Does anyone have any experience with the Lil Snoozy. We have pretty much eliminated all of the other egg trailers because of quality of construction or size of bed. All input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy
  • I agree with the disdain for motels. Which is why winter here sucks....
  • For that kind of money, these at least have a bathroom www.eggcamper.com
  • I know a few people with Snoozy trailers and they seemed to like them. I've been inside about 3 different ones. The jacknife sofa was comfortable and the layout works well. Some owners have remarked about condensation on the walls in cold weather, and that's probably the worst thing I have heard.

I have an empty one (no interior) for hauling around the books and gift items I sell. The frame and shell seem plenty sturdy. I backed into something and broke out some of the outer fiberglass near the corner, but it didn't penetrate all the way through and a canned fiberglass repair kit put it right again. I was unhappy in the first season with the fact that they provided a wider than normal (8.5') axle on mine, but I guess it was just because they didn't have a way of knowing how top heavy I might load it and they wanted to make it extra stable; they don't do that with the travel trailers.

Check out the FiberglassRV forum for more comments from owners. A couple of the members there have traveled pretty extensively with theirs already.
  • I fully understand your dislike for hotel rooms. However, one thing they do bring to the equation is a bathroom. I would think for $20k you could find a small TT with a bath.

Have you looked at Casita? They are well built - we looked at them before buying ours and decided we wanted a little bigger.

check out their 16 footer (IIR) with a side table with two chairs and a larger dinette in the back that you could make up into a bed and leave it made up.
