It allows you to spin the tires at a high rate of speed. With the traction control you can have one wheel on roller ball bearings and the truck will put the power to the wheel with traction.
LSD was standard on my Ram, optional on my Ford and not available on my Mazda. I will choose LSD anytime it is offered.
I have mixed feelings about the traction control on my Ram. It seems to be the cause of much of my throttle lag and the truck is much more responsive with it turned off.
