Limited Slip or Open Differential?

I would get the 3.55 locking diff. I have had the electronic locking diff in my last two trucks. It is extremely rare that it does much for me. If I find myself stuck in snow I will often, just to play, try locking the diff to get out. It seldom makes the difference. As soon as I engage 4x4, even with the diff unlocked, away it goes. Locking the axles on our big trucks, however, makes a very obvious difference. In spite of not seeing much value in a locking diff I would probably still purchase it.....I'm driving in snow 3 months out of the year.
