Do you have access to a lot of RV dealers in your area? If not, you might be researching manufacturers that aren't represented by the dealers near you. I would first determine what manufacturers are sold in your area and concentrate on those first. Buying from and dealing with a reputable local dealer is one of the most important things for me. I know a lot of people have driven hours to buy an RV, but once you own it, you have to rely on local service.
I picked a couple dealers, went to their website, picked out a few models that met my basic needs, and then headed to the dealer to look in person. I ended up buying a TT that was not originally on my shortlist. The point being that on-line research only gets you so far in your decision making.
The other option is to attend an RV show, because they have a wide assortment of units that you can usually walk through without being hassled with a high-pressure sales pitch. And sometimes you can get good sales prices during the offseason.
