No.... what you do is realize that F250 has the same axles as the F350.
If it has big enough tires to hold up and maybe some helper springs if it says too much, it WILL haul just as much.
This is a kid in school. He's not gonna go buy a 2018 F450 because the glovebox sticker says he needs to.
The glovebox sticker on my old '86 GMC said it's payload was something just over 2000 pounds. That's a joke, that thing never complained about 5000, plus a heavy trailer. And my old F250 before that was doing the same job.
