LivinLite - Grand Design

Looking at the Grand Design 2150RB and the LivinLite 21RBS. This is the floor plan that works for us. Same floor plan that we have in our KZ except larger.

I got to see the GD trailers at the Nashville show and was impressed with quality. Haven't seen the LivinLite trailers yet but theres a dealer about 1 hour away.

My question is how do these 2 brands compare to each other? I know the basic specs, one is lighter, one is wider, one has larger holding tanks ect...

So what do you think as far as the construction quality of the 2 brands?

Grand Design 71 gal gray water tank, LivinLite 32 gal. gray water.

    Just somethings to think about.

The Grand Design is also a rear entry trailer that is 2' longer and 1500 lbs heavier than that mid entry Livin Lite ... I don't see how these two trailers can be compared in any way. :h

I know I read your original post in which you said -

Ummmm ... how can 2 distinctly different floorplans, one a rear entry design and the other a mid entry design, be the "Same floor plan that we have in our KZ except larger"? :h

Livinlite has a pantry to the right of the stove. The floor plan doesn't mark it as such but I looked at the pics on rvtrader.

    Grand Design 2150RB

    Livin Lite CL21RBS

These 2 floorplans are entirely different ... perhaps you could clarify? :h

As an aside though I really like that pull out pet dish in the GD! :B

Not looking for hair splitting basically the same floorplan, bed up front couch in the slide w/ fold up table, bathroom in the rear
  • Our GD has 2 gray tanks for a total of 71G. It has 2 drains, the tanks aren't tied together. Bath / shower into one tank, kitchen sink into the other one.

No pets, so we removed the pet bowls and turned it into our "junk" drawer.

  • We really like our Grand Design. I have a few issues with it but I blame that on the dealers inability and / or unwillingness to fix them.
