Are you locked out because you can't find the key, or are you locked out because someone locked up and removed the key while the key was horizontal, rather than vertical? If the former, obviously you need to find the key or call a locksmith.
If the latter, you have one of the defective locks that were supposed to be recalled a couple years ago, and you will have to have that locksmith drill the tumbler out and replace the entire lock mechanism.
