- RumtanExplorerMost dealers have skeleton keys that will get into most any trailer. I hope this saves someone on here hours of travel. Even if you have to pick up a salesman and take him to your locked trailer.....it may save you some time.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII did get locked out of a different TT once. I had a key but, the door latch broke and I was stuck outside. (Why do TT manufactures always use such cheap door latches). I was able to remove a front window from the outside. Then I borrowed a little kid from someone camping near by and shoved him through the window. He opened the door for me and I threw him a fiver.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII once got LOCKED INSIDE my TT.
This was back awhile and I had a 14 foot TT. Basically just a bed on wheels. The door latch was screwed so I put a hatch claps on it and used a pad lock. One night a friend thought he was being funny closed the hatch claps and put a clip thought it. In the morning I couldn't get out. I had to take the screws out of the window on the door, remove the window, and reach out to undo the latch.
I was not amused. - WalabyExplorer IINope
But if I did, I have a spare set in my TV.

Where can a get a spare key made?
Any good lock smith should have the proper blanks on hand to make new ones. - harley4275Explorer751 (storage door lock key)in a magnet box hidden with propane tanks that gets me into front storage door to spare main door key hidden in there on a hook to get me into camper if I loose main keys.
Spare truck key in magnet box hidden under truck bumper.
Have used both at different times. - LadyRVerExplorer IICalled AAA.....
- the_happiestcamExplorerGot home from a trip and discovered the keys were gone (had been to a gas station 2 hours earlier and had them then). Spare set was inside camper. Locksmith that came out butchered the lock, so had to buy new one. Spare set is now in truck's console.
