generally a short bed will have more hop when crossing bumpy roads, the longer wheel base will not be as affected over the bumps. yes a long WB takes more room, bbut with the coil spring suspensions anymore that is not as big a problem as it was. parking is an issue IF you have to park close, a little distance for open parking is better for you and your health but even SB trucks may have issues with the prevalent small parking spaces they set up anymore. try both on test drives and make your own call but be sure to travel the same roads on the test.
