Go get it & spend a weekend in the vicinity. If something pops up over the weekend, head back to the dealer on Monday.
^ This would be my concern. Many repairs, unless very minor, may take time to fix. Can the dealer do it right away? Are you prepared to leave it there and go home without it and then have to do the trip again to get it? There goes all your savings.
Have you tried getting a local dealer to match the price? Even $1k more would be worth going local, plus then you would likely have better warranty service.
