Assuming it's parked level, I'd check it every morning. My 8.1 used about a quart every 2000 miles, but it can vary somewhat. On my 2005 Burb, I replaced the oil cooler lines at around 110,000 miles. Messiest job I've ever done. It might be a good idea to take a look at them if you haven't already.
