Long Hauls - How often do you check fluids?
I'm just curious how often you check your fluids on long hauls - particularly oil. On my upcoming trip I will be going as much as 600 miles in a day, and I'm not thrilled with the idea running that ...

Not condoning it, but if hauling heavy pounding out the miles, I'll usually check it once after a thousand miles or 2 to make sure I'm not using much oil.
Otherwise the only checking gets done is making sure I put all 3 gallons or 7 qts or whatever the capacity is after an oil change. I've gone a long time without checking the dipstick on some vehicles.
