:) Hi, I have not owned a vehicle that leaks or burns oil Etc. for decades.
I never check my oil or anything else.
I check my gas gauge and odometer for when to fill up or have my oil changed.
Before each trip, I check my lug nut torque and tire pressures on my tow vehicle and trailer. I don't touch them again until just before my next trip. This includes my Alaska trip (50 days and over 10,000 miles) and my cross country trip. (3.5 months and over 13,000 miles)
Things are made better now days.
