a working hard engine.
check every morning before starting engine.
not knowing the work load/history..
first day of trip... every gas stop. to set a baseline for use of oil.
after first day of trip, if NOT big change in oil level or use... then every morning..
remember.. pay me Now .. or pay me later.
its not that hard to check the engine oil.
but suddenly being 2 quarts low while towing is bad for an engine.
normally the difference between a cold engine and a hot engine is 1/4 of a quart of oil...
as OLD type oils could "Hang" in an engine.. but not today's oils.
