Long term reliability of GM 8.1 Liter
I'm curious to know what kind of experiences owners of GM's 8.1 liter have had regarding long term reliability/durability. I believe it had the piston slap issue in every year the engine was produced...

Dick B's 6.0L will last 500k miles at it never sees over 3000rpm ;). That 6.0L (and 8.1L) has hundreds of thousands in the last 15 years with over 100k miles.
