Long Time Reader - First Time Poster

Hello all, not new to the boards, but thought it was high time I made my contribution and at least got a few pictures posted on here! Let me say that this forum has been such an amazing resource in our search for our first rv and preparation to enter the rv lifestyle. So much valuable info for someone new.

After several years of contemplating a travel trailer we decided this was the year, and after two hard days of shopping at the Atlanta RV Show this past January we took the plunge. We are thrilled with our decision and have not had one ounce of buyers remorse!

It is my wife, myself, our now 16 month old little boy, and our english bulldog. And we ALL love the camper and campground experience. We get out once a month (July will be 2 trips) for at least a long weekend.

Pre-child my wife and I were hikers, and have camped in everything from large cabin tents to custom build one-off camping hammocks.

Excited to raise our son in the lifestyle, and look forward to every single memory to be made.

Loaded & Ready to Roll, complete with lifted gas Club Car (we had our land graded, driveway extended, 18x36 rv shed constructed, and full hookups trenched in including 30 amp service, water, sewer)

  • Here is your first pic with the width set to 640. I left the height off.

Very nice. What beach campground is that?

Thank you. It's Emerald Coast RV Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida. We were there two weeks ago and really liked it. In the middle of everything yet didnt feel that way once inside the gates. We will probably book Topsail State Park next year however if we can nab a spot there at the 11 month out window!

Welcome to the forum. Nice pics. May I suggest that you set the width to 640 to prevent the photos from being too wide and requiring the reader to shift the page for each photo.:)

Each picture was set to 640x480 per forum photo posting guidelines. I ensured I entered each as such, having been a Mod on other forums I know this can be a sore spot.

Thanks for the welcome, again, its a great place here.

  • Congrats and welcome! Very nice looking set up.

We also store our Rockwood in a very similar covered area about 30 feet out the garage door. In our case we didn't need grading, it was build a retaining wall and fill, fill, fill. We feel good about protecting it as much as possible, especially the roof.

Glad you're able to start camping with your young family....a great way to grow up. Happy Camping!
