Skipnchar on this site has been towing a much larger trailer than yours, with a F-150 Ecoboost for several years. He is an experienced RVr and will not give you any BS. He has commented on here that he is very pleased with the power & towing capabilities.
I don't know exactly what year his truck is, but you could PM him. He isn't on the site a lot but he will probably reply as soon as he sees the PM.
Do watch the payload available on the truck you buy. Some 1/2 ton trucks don't have much. Remember that the tongue weight of your trailer is part of the cargo.
