Have you actually weighed your TT? Web site says 6901 and one site I saw said 6980lbs shipping. So you only put 500lbs in it with 2 kids? If so cool. I towed a TT that weighed in around 72-7300lb (scales) and had a 900lb TW with basicly the same truck except for the Eco. I needed an EQ to keep things civil. IMO you just need to get an integrated WD hitch.
Another thing on the friction side plate, they recommended 2 for TT's over 26'.
