Common misconception that 2017 aluminum trucks gained payload capacity, truth is they didn't.  Whatever they gained by going to aluminum they lost by having a heavier transfer case, transmission and rear end. My SRW 2012 F350 had a higher payload sticker than any of the '17's when I was looking at similarly equipped trucks on the lot.  Payload gains were minimal at best.
Anyways, only camper I can comment on is the 89RB as I own it. It's been good to me but after scaling it, as with most campers it weighs more than it says on the sticker. I was at 12,400 loaded which was well above the GVW so when the time came I decided to go to a dually.
