looking at upgrading our TT

Hello All, we are looking at upgrading our current 2007 Jayco 27BH and we have narrowed the floor plan to the following TT's;

Keystone Bullet 218 BHS
Surveyor sv 291
Apex 288BHS Eclispe Edition

we have gone with this floor plan because the dinette is oposite the kitchen and gives you a large window to see out to your camp. this is important for our family as we have two girls under the age of 4. must have was this and the double over double bunks and we like the bathroom exit.

TV is not an issue for us with any of the above mentioned units. With the Apex i have noticed that it is not an enclosed under belly, but the tanks are enclosed and heated. is this an issue for camping later or earlier in the year?

can anyone out there give me insight on these trailers, im looking at getting some more info to make up the pro and con list.

thanks in advanced.
  • I am pretty impressed with the Apex line right now.

    You have listed three very nice brands. I would go hang out in a few of them and then make my decision from there.

    Thanks!

  • The Surveyor's are pretty nice.... we've had great luck with Forest River products.
  • Don't know about the Keystone, but, As for the Apex. It is made of Azdel. A really lite composite material, and there is no wood what so ever in the walls. So nothing to rot. It also has a higher insulation value than normal laminate siding.

    Only other thing I can say. Is it towes really good. Well balanced. Do lay in the bed to see if it is long enough for you. In our's we have to scoot up to the top. But then I have to do that at home as well.
    And the bathroom entrance is a great thing, especially at the beach.

    BTW. IF you plan on cold camping. Check out the furnace vents. Our furnace is under the fridge, and the main vent is there as well. There is another small vent near the main door, but not a lot of air comes out. However. The furnace does heat the TT very nicely, and is not so loud.
