Looking for a good home type shower faucet

Since the bathroom in Ms. Merry is undergoing a full overhaul, one of the things we want to do is move away from the plastic gutted RV plumbing fixtures.

To this end, one of the things we're aiming yo do is put in a standard shower faucet separate from the sink faucet.

We'd love some suggestions on brands/models that are fairly durable quality and have a fairly easy to defeat high temp guard (some of them just have a little ring under the knob with teeth that you can just remove).

Also, if anyone knows who did the thread years ago that installed the same type of faucet on their camper bathroom, please let me know, so I can look it up.

Thank you everyone:)

  • I have a WaterPik brand shower head that has lasted over 10 years. It doesn't have a shutoff right below it but I'm sure some plumbing fittings would let you splice in a small ball valve in the supply line.
  • I felt in love with thermostatic valves years ago and this is what I am trying to use whenever I can.
Here is modification I did in my camper bath
I don't see a need for separate shower valve at this point since that would take very precious space under shower, but you can find all kind of thermostatic valves from the ebay seller.
