I don't know what they are going for now but in 2014 I sold a 1991 F250 2wd with the 460 V8 for $7K. It had some sheet metal damage on the bed but was rust free. I year or two later I sold a 2003 model 15 passenger van with V10 for my asking price of $7.5k and had people calling on it from 8 hours away. Getting a good condition vehicle less than 15 years old for under $6K will be a challenge. A diesel and/or 4wd will add substantially to the cost. Just be prepared. KBB value on the van was $3.5K so take them with a whole lot of salt. My pre-sale research turned up nothing but rambling wrecks at that price.
